Employment Opportunities: Assistant Facilities Manager and Safety/Security Manager

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists the Facilities Manager in maintaining buildings, grounds, equipment, and components using current technology and best practices and in optimizing economies while ensuring the facilities are clean, well-maintained, safe, and secure by performing duties personally or through subordinates. Develops and maintains building specific safety programs and training. The Assistant performs the duties of the Facilities Manager during his absence. This position has "on-call" duty for emergencies related to Library facilities and equipment.
REQUIRES: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and at least five years of custodial/cleaning/maintenance experience including some supervisory experience. Safety and/or security management experience or training a plus. Must be able to understand current technology of equipment and facilities infrastructure. Associates degree, technical, or other academic credentials in a relevant subject area from an accredited college, university, or technical school is a plus. Equivalent combination of education/training will be considered. Certified Facility Manager designation, Certified Safety Professional, or Associate Safety Professional is a plus. Must be available for weekend "on-call" assignment and must have a valid driver's license.
