ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Clerk provides excellent customer service to customers while working at the circulation desk quickly and accurately processing materials. The clerk also accesses customer records, shelves and straightens materials, and other job-related functions as assigned. This position requires standing for long periods of time and climbing of steps and physically moving library materials. Other activities and special projects as assigned, including participation in EVPL projects and committees.

REQUIRES: High school diploma or GED required and/or relevant work experience is required. Computer skills sufficient to effectively use circulation software and familiarity of Microsoft Office are required. Must have great customer service skills, excellent communication skills, be self motivated, able to work a flexible schedule and be dependable and responsible. Some evening and weekend hours required, including some Sunday afternoons.
