Instant Message a Librarian

Have a question? Why not ask EVPL via Instant Message (IM)?

Now you can ask a question via a live session Monday through Thursday from 1:00pm to 7:00pm and Friday from 1:00pm to 6:00pm. During this time you'll be able to interact with an EVPL librarian. We have user names for AIM, Yahoo, and MSN Messenger. We'll be happy to find whatever you are looking for, whether in print or online.

Just a couple of things to note before you get started...

• Any screen names that send IMs containing obscene or harassing language will be blocked.
• We are unable to answer lengthy research questions via IM - for example, a complicated genealogical research question. We are unqualified to provide medical, tax, or legal advice, but will be happy to provide you with appropriate medical, tax, or legal information resources.
• IM Reference is part of our regular reference service, which includes in-person telephone, and email reference services. Sometimes we might be answering all kinds of questions at the same time, so please be patient.
