Kids Summer Reading Program 2009

The Summer Reading program this year is more creative than ever

Our "Bee Creative" theme has us buzzing with excitement. The 2009 Summer Reading Program starts with the Kick-off event on May 17th from 1-4:30 at Central Library. The first 500 children who sign up will receive a free "What's Buzzin' at your library" backpack. Participant families will also get a yard sign that tell the world "I Get Inspired @ My Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library".

Thanks to the sponsorship of the Public Library Friends, the Evansville Courier & Press, and numerous other vendors, we will be giving away prizes such as Family Passes to Mesker Park Zoo, Webkinz, Art kits, and even Lunch with the Book Bus.

If you miss the kick-off, you can sign up for the program from May 18 through July 20 at any EVPL location. Don't forget to pick up a Kid's Summer Program Brochure for full details and a listing of special events being held throughout the library system for a fun-filled creative summer.
