Adult Summer Reading Program 2009
Using the Bonus Challenge form in your Summer Reading Brochure, or one printed from this link, place a check mark next to any task you have completed, and fill in the requested information. You will receive one
drawing entry for each task you complete. You may
ask for assistance at the reference desks in the
library. All contest sheets must be turned in by
Friday, July 10 at 6:00pm. Participants must be present
at the Wrap-up Party on Sunday, July 26 at 3:00pm
at Central Library to win.
- Register for the EVPL Community Pages, then
read some of the blog entries, and post a comment
on one of the entries. (requires an email address).
- Pick up a Database Scavenger Hunt worksheet
at the Reference Desk (ask for help with it if needed)
and complete two or more of the tasks that interest
you.
- Attend a program at one of the libraries.
- Look at the eNewsletters page of the EVPL
website. Find a newsletter that interests you, and
either look at the latest edition by clicking on the
title, or subscribe to the email version of the
newsletter.
- Write a letter to the editor, or to one of your
state or local representatives, telling them something
you value about the library. Mail it.
(We'd appreciate a copy, but that isn't required.)
- Check out an audiobook on Playaway, or check out
or place a hold on an audiobook or e-book from our Downloadables collection. (Downloadable items require
your library card number and downloading to your own
computer via high-speed internet. Playaway audiobooks
only require you to provide earphones.)
- I have created a PIN for my online Library Account.
- Explore some of the special offerings at Central
Library! Choose one or more from the list below, and
ask about it at the Central Library reference desk, or
look it up on the library website.
