EVPL Book Bus
Vanderburgh County residents may obtain a library card at no cost. Replacements are $1.
To check out items on the Book Bus, customers must have a valid library card. You can apply for one at any EVPL branch or on the Book Bus. Cards require an electronic signature that can only be done at any EVPL branch. This digital signature must be given within 30 days of application to ensure continued library access. A parent or legal guardian's signature is required for every minor child.
Customers are responsible for all items checked out on their card and should not let others use it. Lost card should be reported as soon as possible. Please return all materials to the Book Bus by the due date. When stops are cancelled due to weather or mechanical problems, items will be renewed until the next visit. Please listen to WIKY for cancellations.
Because of space, the Book Bus cannot provide specific titles, bestsellers, or reference material. The collection is a general browsing collection. If specific titles are desired please visit your nearest EVPL library.
You may check out up to 5 items per customer per day.
- Teachers may take 25 items for a classroom collection.
- New borrowers may select 1 item.
Children under 12 years must be accompanied by an adult. The Book Bus does not act in loco parentis (in place of parents). It is both a right and a responsibility of parents and guardians to monitor what their children read, view, or listen to.
