OverDrive @ EVPL is a collection of downloadable media available for free to EVPL cardholders. Media types available include the following:
- eBooks: These are digital versions of traditional books, allowing additional functionality such as searching for specific words or enlarging the font size. eBooks come in two formats:
- Adobe PDF eBooks: Compatible with both PCs & Macs. Requires free Adobe Digital Editions software.
- Mobipocket eBooks: PC-only. Requires free Mobipocket Reader software.
- Audiobooks: These are spoken-word recordings of popular books can be played on computers & compatible MP3 players.
Audiobooks come in two formats:
- OverDrive MP3 Audiobooks: Compatible with both PCs & Macs. Requires free OverDrive Media Console software. Compatible with any MP3 player, including Apple iPod devices.
- OverDrive WMA Audiobooks: PC-only. Requires free OverDrive Media Console software. Compatible with "Plays for Sure" devices; not compatible with Apple iPods.
- Video: Feature films, TV shows, documentaries, & more can be viewed on PCs and compatible portable media players. Requires free OverDrive Media Console software.
- Music: Full albums can be downloaded and listened to on PCs and compatible portable media players. Requires free OverDrive Media Console software.
