We are excited to share our plans and progress for the future of EVPL’s facilities.
Beginning with community and staff feedback received during the planning process for our 2021-2023 Strategic Plan, we found a need to assess our facilities and their ability to continue serving our community into the far future. We began the process of drafting our Masters Facilities Plan, which will guide our facilities projects for the next 10 to 20 years. After issuing a Request for Proposals for the assessment of our facilities and reviewing the proposals, library administration and the EVPL Board of Trustees selected MKM architecture and design to conduct the assessment and create the final recommendations report.
After nearly a year’s long process of gathering input from staff, the library Board, and our community, as well as performing in-depth evaluations of all EVPL facilities, MKM created the comprehensive report. This comprehensive report provides recommendations for facilities improvements and expansion to ensure EVPL and our facilities continue to support the wants, needs, and aspirations of our community into the future.
EVPL leadership and our Board of Trustees are working to identify our next steps in this process. We will provide more information as projects are identified and progress occurs.
