Local Author Fair planned for Saturday at EVPL McCollough

Seventeen local authors participating

Evansville – EVPL McCollough will host a Local Author Fair Saturday, May 23, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Seventeen local authors are slated to participate, offering book readings, writing resources, books for sale, and more.

“Our Local Author Fair in November was so successful that we wanted to make this a regular program,” said Allie Tucker, Assistant Librarian of Programming and coordinator of the event. “We have 10 authors participating for the first time, in addition to seven returning authors.”

The event will take place in the meeting room with scheduled author readings in the nearby activity room. The readings are scheduled every 15 minutes from 10:15 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Participating authors include L.D. Burke, Kyle Darnell, Karen Edwards, Dr. Matthew J. Hanka, Jamie L. Hart, Anne Joyce, Cyndie Kieffer, Dr. James MacLeod, Judy Nole and Chloe Nole, Sherrill Rayford, Linda Neal Reising, C.L. Stambush, Jessica D. Thompson, Ashley M. Watson, Mark Williams, and Mary Ellen Ziliak.

Authors will sell their books independently, each using their own payment method.

This event is a Literary Arts Experience, part of The Arts at EVPL Series, sponsored by the EVPL Foundation.
