What Should Be Remembered? exhibit at EVPL Central through July 31
Evansville – What Should Be Remembered?, featuring 25 unique works, is on exhibit now at EVPL Central through Friday, July 31, in the rotunda on the second floor. Many items in this Visual Arts Experience are for sale by the artists and can be seen Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
“In announcing the theme, we asked artists to reflect back on the history of our community, the country, or their own personal experience, ” said Heather Kelsey, COO, EVPL. “As we recognize the 250th anniversary of the United States, we wanted viewers to experience art that remembers a person, moment, place, or feeling that should not be lost to time.”
A closing reception with the artists will be held Saturday, August 1, from 4 – 5:30 p.m., followed by a Concert on the Lawn event featuring Elliott and Loralye; this Performing Arts Experience will be held on the EVPL Central Greenspace from 6 – 8 p.m.
