Outreach

EVPL Outreach is dedicated to bringing the library beyond the walls of our eight locations.

Services include:

• Storytime to You – Organizations have the option of requesting an EVPL-trained storyteller to come to their location and perform monthly Storytimes.
• Materials to You
  • Book Delivery Service – Early literacy organizations and adult care facilities have the option to receive rotating deliveries of age-appropriate library materials.
  • Meals on Wheels Partnership – EVPL and Meals on Wheels collaborate to provide monthly library materials to residents participating in meal delivery services. Meals on Wheels provides food for the body; EVPL provides food for the brain!
• EVPL To You – EVPL staff visits your location in the community with information about library resources and services, library card sign-ups, and answers to any questions you may have. Additional options include fun activities for all ages, storytimes, one-on-one tech assistance, and more! Examples include:
  • Public Events (e.g. resource fairs, parades, festivals)
  • Events for Specific Groups (e.g. school literacy nights, library presentations, classroom visits)
  • Outreach Programs (e.g. robotics, STEAM, crafts)
• Student eAccess Cards – eAccess cards provide students with access to all our digital resources and services, including live tutoring, research databases, and homework help. For students enrolled in pre-K–12 schools in Vanderburgh County in which the school has chosen to enter into a partnership with EVPL.

Request EVPL Outreach’s Services

Each year, EVPL Outreach is asked to participate in hundreds of community events and initiatives. To more effectively meet the needs of our community, EVPL Outreach has streamlined our request process.

Community organizations inviting EVPL to participate in an event, or requesting a recurring service, should complete the appropriate form below.

Please submit the form at least 2 weeks before your event date or service start date. A representative of EVPL Outreach will reply within 3 business days of your submitted request.

You may receive a call or email requesting additional information prior to receiving confirmation.
