All artists are invited to submit a poster celebrating Evansville, local history, and inspiring hope for the future, as part of the America 250 Poster Project. This project was created by the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM), in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). Artists of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to participate and submit their work.

This project is a platform to celebrate civic and national pride in honor of the semiquincentennial and showcase the power of artists to interpret and express community identity.
Evansville Mayor Stephanie Terry and members of the Arts at EVPL team will select a winner that best exemplifies the theme, which will then be submitted to the USCM for display at the USCM’s 94th Annual Meeting in Long Beach (June 4–7, 2026).
The Arts at EVPL, sponsored by the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library Foundation, reflects the library’s commitment to cultivating curiosity by creating wonder.
