Vanderburgh County Election Office

Available information includes:

  • The county election board – who serves and how to contact them
  • The absentee ballot application form, with information on how to complete and return it
  • Deadlines for voting and registering to vote
  • News affecting the current election
  • Election day vote centers and early voting locations, both include dates and times
  • Candidate financial statements

Indiana Voter Portal

Available information includes:

  • Check whether you are registered to vote
  • Register to vote
  • Access the forms for absentee voting
  • Find your voting location/s
    • You’ll also get information on early voting locations and information on what to bring to the voting center and how the voting process will work.
  • Find out who is on your ballot
  • Find out who your current officials are
  • Get information on past elections and follow current elections.
  • Get information on the safety of Indiana’s voting process
  • Information on candidates campaign finances

USAGov Voting and Elections

USA.gov is an interagency product administered by USAGov (formerly the Federal Citizen Information Center), a division of the U.S. General Services Administration’s Technology Transformation Service. Information available includes:

  • Definitions of common election terminology
  • Explanations of the Presidential Election Process, including how the Electoral College works
  • Links to state and local election information sites
  • Support for making informed voting decisions
  • Information on current and historic election laws
  • An explanation of Inauguration Day

  • Vote411: Launched by the League of Women Voters Education Fund (LWVEF) in October of 2006, VOTE411.org is a “one-stop-shop” for election-related information. It provides nonpartisan information to the public with both general and state-specific information on the election process.
  • BallotReady: BallotReady provides personalized ballots and nonpartisan information to voters in all 50 states. BallotReady is backed by the University of Chicago, the National Science Foundation, and the Knight Foundation.
