Welcome to EVPL Sensory Rooms!

EVPL currently offers Sensory Rooms in three locations:

• EVPL Central’s READ Center
• EVPL McCollough
• EVPL North Park

with plans to add more as our locations undergo renovations and update.

EVPL Sensory Rooms are safe places for children with sensory processing differences or other challenging conditions in need of a calm, sensory-friendly space. Created as a multi-sensory environment (MSE), the rooms are designed to help children self-regulate through a variety of sensory solutions.

From noise-canceling headphones and weighted blankets to the fiber optic waterfall and tactile balance beam, the room is flexible to be used for both sensory seeking and sensory avoiding.

Parents or caregivers may reserve a room for up to two hours at a time here.
