This Pennsylvania delegate is credited with writing the Preamble and giving the most speeches at the convention.

The oldest delegate at the convention, this former printer also lived near the State House, where it was held.

This New York delegate helped to get the convention started in Philadelphia, but had limited influence at it. He was also the first Secretary of the Treasury under President Washington and co-wrote The Federalist Papers.

This Virginia delegate is often called the Constitution’s father and he took lots of notes during the convention in Philadelphia.

He was the former commander of the Continental armed forces and the convention’s president.
